Setting Up Telegram Alerts

Nobody wants to be the person refreshing their dashboard every ten minutes. Telegram alerts exist so you don’t have to be. Here’s the setup, and it’s genuinely one of the quicker things in this whole platform.

Step one: say hello to the bot

Open Telegram, find @TradeFIQBot and send it /start. It replies with two numbers: your Telegram user ID and your chat ID. Keep that message open.

Head over to Settings → Telegram, paste the two numbers into their fields, and click Link.

Open Settings → Telegram

That’s it. Settings shows a confirmation once it’s linked. From then on you get alerts the moment something happens: trades opening, trades closing, and anything that needs your attention.

Why bother

If you’re running strategies on a schedule, they execute whether you’re watching or not, which is the entire point of automating them in the first place. But most people still want some visibility without babysitting a browser tab all day. Telegram alerts are that middle ground, you get pinged when something actually happens, and you can otherwise go live your life.

If it’s not working

Check two things. First, that you sent /start to the bot; the link can’t complete without it. Second, that you pasted the two numbers from the bot’s reply into the right fields, with no extra spaces. Still stuck? Email support@hello.tradefiq.com and we’ll take a look.

Two minutes, and you can stop refreshing the dashboard. Worth it.
