TradeFIQ vs 3Commas: A No-Code Alternative for Traders Who Want Control

Tired of preset bots? TradeFIQ lets you build your own rules without code, gives every automation a hard budget, and lets you edit a trade while it's open.

3Commas is one of the best-known names in crypto trading bots, with a long track record and a big toolbox of ready-made bot types. TradeFIQ takes a different approach: instead of choosing a bot type and filling in its settings, you compose your own strategy from reusable pieces, and every automation runs inside a budget it can never exceed. Here's an honest comparison of where each one fits.

Edit a live trade without closing it

In 3Commas, changing a running bot's settings applies to new trades; trades that are already open have to be edited individually. In TradeFIQ, every automated trade carries its own copy of its strategy and risk rules, and you can edit those on the open trade: tighten the stop, move the take-profit, add an exit condition. The position stays open, and nothing else is affected.

Give every automation its own budget

TradeFIQ makes capital required for every automation. Trades are sized from that budget, each open trade reserves part of it, and a capital stop closes a position before the automation can lose more than it was given. Budgets are reserved per automation, so two strategies can never spend the same money, and you can always see starting capital next to what remains.

Build rules instead of picking a bot type

A TradeFIQ strategy is made of reusable pieces: an entry, an exit, execution settings and optional weighted indicator scoring, built from around 30 indicators and candlestick patterns. Save a good exit once and use it everywhere. Read more about the strategy builder or browse indicator strategies.

Copy trading with no fee on losing weeks

TradeFIQ's copy trading charges a flat weekly fee that is only paid to the manager when the trades you copied finish the week in profit; otherwise it's refunded. Managers need a Premium plan and at least $1,000 of live profit on TradeFIQ over the previous three months, and are re-checked every quarter.

When 3Commas might suit you better

  • You specifically want DCA (averaging down) or grid bots as ready-made presets. TradeFIQ doesn't offer those bot types.
  • Your signals already live in TradingView or Pine Script and you want to execute them directly.
  • You need an exchange TradeFIQ doesn't connect to yet (we support 9).

Frequently asked questions

Is TradeFIQ a good 3Commas alternative?

If you want to build your own rules without code, give every automation a hard budget, and edit open trades without closing them, yes. If you mainly want ready-made DCA or grid bots, or to run TradingView and Pine Script signals, 3Commas is built around those.

Can I move my 3Commas strategy to TradeFIQ?

There is no automatic import. Most indicator-based bots can be rebuilt in a few minutes in the strategy builder; DCA and grid bots have no direct equivalent.

Does TradeFIQ have a free plan?

Yes. The free plan includes paper trading, backtesting, one exchange connection and live trading.

Does TradeFIQ support TradingView webhooks?

No. Strategies are built from TradeFIQ’s own indicators and rules.

Which exchanges does TradeFIQ support?

Binance, Bybit, OKX, KuCoin, Kraken, Coinbase, Bitget, Gate.io and MEXC, spot and futures.
